It's said "Think out of the box"..referring to creative thinking , crazy ideas or or breaking the normal boundaries....!! & i guess we r stuck in the smallest box ever with the narrow vision & limited minds that get closed day after day....!!!
i may have thought about that more than once,...but a couple of days ago i thought again coz i was passing by TV & i watched a man who studied ancient egyptian civilization & came up with new theories different from the classical ones,...actually i saw him b4 & i didn't listened to his theories coz i'm not interested in such issued but this time i listened for a while ,...he really has weird theories ,...for ex. he believes that there was another sphinx & it was destroyed long time ago,...he has other theories concerning ancient kings as Tut Ankh Amon & Cleopatra & each theory is a kind of study with proofs from his POV.....but he was opposed by classical scholars as if he is insane!!!
mayb the story itself is not the point,...the point is that ppl got used to stick to the old ideas & theories in any field that they can't accept new & different ones.
mayb ppl feel safe that way,..or coz they just were raised up in a culture that considers discussions & arguments a kind of rudeness & insanity,..so they just accept all the issues as they r without thinking whether they r right or wrong,....facts or just theories & so on....!!!
i'm not talking about facts or concrete issues as religion & ethics although sometimes there's an area for the mind in some related issues,...i'm mainly talking about theories & flexible issues that can be discussed & even change ,...as in the previous example he was just studying phareonic topics which is sth vague & can be studied from diff POV ,..but coz the minds r stuck in the tiny box they can't accept & discuss & different idea.
i believe that sometimes when we hear an idea that seems crazy we should just ask WHY NOT?!!...coz as long as it's not totally impossible it means that it's still possible .
& history proved that alot with creative ppl who were accused of being insane or sth coz they just came up with sth new.
we really lack this kind of flexibility in thinking ,..& unfortunately kids, who r creative by nature, lose their creativity day after day by the way they r raised up & the stupid education they get in the stupid schools & faculties year after year .
& consequently we find a whole society stuck in the box.....!!!
